Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Windows 95:
The setup program should run automatically. If it doesn't, then explore the CD and
run setup95.exe.
Two shortcuts will be created on the Start Menu under Programs=>Crayola Magic 3D
Coloring Book. One will run the program if you already have the CD in the
drive (the CD should automatically play when you insert it). The other will remove
the coloring book from your hard drive.
Windows 3.x:
You need to run the setup program "setup31.exe". After the main setup is done, the
setup programs for win32s and Video for Windows will be run.
A program group will be made called "Crayola Magic 3D Coloring Book" with two icons
in it. One will run the coloring book, the other will remove the program from your
hard drive.
Installation Issues
-------------------
Both Windows 95 and Windows 3.1:
The uninstaller has a minor flaw. The folders where the program is installed will
not be deleted properly.
If you have created scrapbook images, then these will not be deleted by the
uninstaller. This is not a bug. If you want to get rid of these images, then you
will have to delete the folder.
If you are installing the full product from a locked CD-ROM you must exit and
restart the application after you successfully complete the registration process
to ensure the best performance.
Running the Program
-------------------
Windows 95:
Once the setup is complete, it will run the program automatically. After the
program is installed, if you insert the CD, it will run the program automatically.
If you have the CD in but you are not running the program, then you can run the
shortcut located on the Start Menu.
Windows 3.1:
Once the setup is complete, you can run the program by double-clicking the icon
in the program group that is created by the installer.
Program Issues
--------------
Windows 95:
With some audio cards, if you have the CD in at the start of Windows 95, then it will
autoplay before the audio card is fully initialized. The setup should run fine, but
when the program runs, it will crash when it tries to play a sound. Subsequent execution
of the program should be stable; however, you may need to reboot the machine after this
crash.
